Aged to Perfection

Roasting spruce speeds up its natural aging process, delivering a played-in, old-school tone. This torrefaction process removes excess moisture, making the guitar more resistant to overall atmospheric changes—perfect for tonal consistency.

Your Sonic Escape

Inspired by getaways to the California coast, the Topanga Collection captures the glow and warmth of the Golden State in every note. Sights include: a tanned glossy top, pau ferro back and sides, and shimmering adornments.

Set Up in Los Angeles

Professionally set up before shipping, your guitar arrives ready to play—with fresh strings and a durable hard case included.

Studio Mic’d Sound

The LR Baggs Anthem is an all-in-one pickup system that combines a mic and undersaddle piezo with remarkable noise cancellation for the purest sound you've ever heard amplified.

Outstanding

Hey guys-
Well I was kicking myself for ordering in the middle of Christmas season and having it shipped all the way across the country but she arrived safely. It it a beautiful guitar. One of the nicest acoustics I have ever owned. The set-up/action is perfect.
Sound is crisp and alive. Hearty tone.
I couldn’t be happier. Thank you for a wonderful build and thank you for all the young players coming up for providing a quality, reasonably priced instrument to learn on.

Beautiful guitar

Purchased as my full time church guitar and absolutely love it. I play along with a Yamaha Grand piano in a medium sized auditorium and this pairs up perfectly.

Great sound, great quality. Such a great buy!

AMAZING TONE, QUALITY, AND VALUE!

The Berkley live breaks through the high-end barrier of solid wood guitars. Under $1000 on sale this guitar out performs most guitars double the price. The tone and play-ability is great, not to mention it is even more beautiful in person. Highly recommend this guitar to anyone who wants the tone and quality of a multi-thousand dollar guitar for under $1000.

Pros: The guitar feels and sounds incredible. Definitely one of the best guitars I’ve ever heard. Setup is great, and The Anthem pickup is superb and it sounds great coming out of a Fender Acoustic 100 AMP!

Cons: For me, there is some minor fret buzzing on the A string second fret and the Low E string 12th fret. I have tried adjusting the truss rod but the issue still persists. Maybe Orangewood could help with that?

All in all the guitar is fantastic and I will for sure be buying another from Orangewood!

Top Wood Guide

Spruce

A classic tonewood for acoustic guitars, spruce is a well-rounded, durable wood that’s suitable for many styles of playing.

Torrefied Spruce

A vintage-inspired upgrade, torrefied spruce is roasted to remove excess moisture, so the guitar continues to play at peak performance.

Mahogany

A common tonewood for top, back, and sides, Mahogany is known for its clarity and evenness to accentuate the mid-range tones.

Cedar

An excellent topwood for classical guitars, cedar is perfect for delicate playing styles, like fingerpicking and soft strumming.
