Fantastic guitar!

I've played guitar for about 14 years (piano for over 60) but only in the last year did guitar really take over. I play fingerstyle on a beautiful Breedlove Concerto model that I thought ticked all the boxes. This guitar was bought on whim based on the many great reviews and while waiting for delivery, I started to have buyer's remorse, especially after playing my Breedlove. My box arrived with several fist-sized holes but the guitar was unharmed. It looked great and sounded beautiful out of the box. I've owned several dozen guitars including high end Martins and none had a setup this nice. The sound is sweet and clear and the dimensions of the guitar are perfect for me (5'6", small frame). I did switch to lighter strings as I like to do special effects and only play in my room. This is my first mahogany top and the dark, warm sound really appeals to me.

There is one very minor finish blemish on the neck visible under very bright light that took a few days to discover. Also, there were a few very minor scratches around the bridge but a quick rub with a dry microfiber cloth buffed those out. Otherwise, I found no fault with the finish and playability is outstanding.

For the price, this is an amazing bargain and the customer service has been outstanding every step of the way. This won't replace a large dreadnought but it doesn't have to with its beautiful voice and svelte dimensions. With "Ollie", I'm playing more than ever and it's never sounded so good!

Fantastic guitar. Everything I was looking for and a lot more affordable. Played both the Taylor gs mini and the martin LX series. This is comparable. Plus I love the darker tones mahogany.

WORTH IT

Really great gig bag and great quality from the guitar as well as the set up. I’ll be getting more.

Thank you for choosing Orangewood!

Top Wood Guide

Spruce

A classic tonewood for acoustic guitars, spruce is a well-rounded, durable wood that’s suitable for many styles of playing.

Torrefied Spruce

A vintage-inspired upgrade, torrefied spruce is roasted to remove excess moisture, so the guitar continues to play at peak performance.

Mahogany

A common tonewood for top, back, and sides, Mahogany is known for its clarity and evenness to accentuate the mid-range tones.

Cedar

An excellent topwood for classical guitars, cedar is perfect for delicate playing styles, like fingerpicking and soft strumming.
