Alejandro Aranda is a genre-bending artist celebrated for his distinct acoustic style, blending intricate fingerpicking with breathtaking melodies. So, for his Artist Series model, we put a fresh spin on his trusted muse: the dreadnought.
Starting with a classic acoustic design and adding a rebellious-yet-timeless take, the Pomona is built for a powerhouse.
Alejandro made the guitar his own with an oversized pickguard, block inlays, and hand-drawn artist initials on the back of the headstock. The glossy sunburst finish adds a classic finishing touch.

We teamed up with LR Baggs to customize an Element Bronze pickup, engineered to enhance the warmth and articulation of the Pomona. This system includes a lightweight undersaddle piezo with volume control.
The Pomona Live receives an expert set up before shipment, so it’s ready to play right out of the box with a fresh pair of Ernie Ball strings. Gig bag included.
So this is my 4th guitar from Orangewood. I also own the Brooklyn, an Oliver, and I honestly don't remember what model I bought my kid a few years back but I've never had a bad experience. The Pomona Live may be my new favorite guitar though. I own a few higher end guitars and this guitar sounds amazing and can hold it's own against more popular name brands easily. I haven't plugged it in yet so I can't speak on how it sounds amped up but I rarely use an amp.
First off this thing is gorgeous. It came polished, I could see my reflection in it. The set up was pretty much perfect, the strings were slightly outta tune but I expect that when having a guitar shipped across the country. Action was perfect for what I like though. This honestly blew me away, I wasn't expecting to like it as much as I do and it's probably going to become my daily player. Feels, looks, sounds, and smells great.
I received this guitar a few days ago and haven't been able to put it down. Action was set up perfectly and the neck is super comfortable to play on for long periods of time. If you're in the market for a dreadnought with a solid spruce top and looks amazing, you can't go wrong with this. I couldn't think of a more deserving artist to receive a signature guitar as good as this.
The current lineup is sorely lacking in lefthanded offerings. Lefty's enjoy variety and selection as well.
Perfect
I think this was exactly what I was hoping to find about 6 months ago. It looks like you've put a really nice guitar together, congratulations!
Thank you for your review and for choosing our Pomona Live!
